Heather's injury.
Mitchell was giving Heather a ride on the back of a mountain bike and heather's ankle became tangled in the spokes of the tire. It caused a large gash on the back of her foot. The local Dr. here did not want to touch it. We had to drive two hrs to Glasgow. Heather did not respond to the oral sedation. After the 2nd oral sedation Heather was still suffering. The accident happened at 11:15 a.m., at 8:00 p.m. the Dr. finally decided to send her to the operating room and put her out. We left the hospital at 9pm. It was very difficult to watch Heather suffer for so long. The medical service we received was sub-standard. The Dr.'s and nurses had little compassion for Heather's suffering as we waited the first two times for the oral sedation to take affect. At one point a female physician's assistant responded to Heather coldy with, "we're waiting on you", after one of Heather's many pleas for them to stop hurting her. More and more we are witnessing in our culture that there is no time or compassion for children, they are a burden to everyone.

AW! Poor girl! I really don't understand some people. How can they not have compassion for a child in pain??? I would have a hard time being polite to the Dr.'s and nurses. Maybe tell them we are waiting on YOU to take better care of our little girl!
I pray she heals quickly. Give her a hug from us.
Many hugs to Heather from us all.
We each send our love.

Heather, you are so brave! I hope you have the cast removed soon.
