SNOW

It's 9:40 p.m. and the temperature reads -17. This is the coldest night we have had this winter. The forecast shows our high to be -12 tomorrow, looks like we will remain inside sipping on hot tea, hot chocolate, apple cider, or coffee. Last year at this time we did not have this much snow, so maybe this year will be a bit more challenging weather wise. We have some pretty deep snow drifts in the yard. The snow looks beautiful outside as the moonlight reflects upon it. We'll see what we have in the morning.

Cinnamon Rolls

Remember these....go here for recipe. I tweaked the recipe some, I rolled my biscuit dough out and filled with butter, cinnamon, and sugar. I didn't measure the amount of each ingredient used as filling, I just filled till it looked good. Then I cut into rolls and placed in pans. Kelli's way is faster, so use what works for you

Taxidermist

We took a road trip (1hour) to Dagmar, MT to drop of Mason's Buck at the taxidermist. The taxidermist showed us the process of mounting the game and why it takes six months to get the finished product.

Mystery Moose

We've been told there are moose living in our area but we've never seen one. After 14 months of living here Chris spotted two just 1 mile north of our house. It is a poor picture but the moose fled when Chris moved closer for a better shot.

Grandma, Grandpa, and Kids

Following are pictures of my mom and dad taken while we visited Arizona. Mom and dad were so kind and generous to us on our visit, we are thankful for the time we had with them. They are two of the hardest working people I know. Dad is always fixing or tinkering with something. He retired from Phelps Dodge a few years back, so now he stays busy with projects at home. And mom expresses excellence in all she does. She is an exceptional housekeeper. They have nine grandchildren, five boys and four girls. We LOVE you Grandma and Grandpa.
Here's my mamma, she doesn't look her age, trust me. She made me menudo while we were visiting. It was delicious!
And here's my daddy, the kids call him "Cowboy Grandpa".
I love this shot, even though Heather and Laura are missing.
Here's mom with a her mijo's (spanish for little sons).

Daddy's Girls

Here's a picture of the girls and I. This was taken by my friend Jody when we visited AZ.

Pumpkin Dinner Rolls

I made a batch of these rolls last week and we loved them. They were delicious! I will be making these to go with our Thanksgiving feast. You can find the recipe here. When I made our rolls I did not have a can of pumpkin, but I had a can of yams, and it worked. We could not taste the yams, so I am assuming you will not taste the pumpkin either. The pumpkin or yams are used to replace the oil usually called for in a roll recipe. Enjoy!

Beauty in All Things

This shot was taken back in early September. This is a view from the front steps. The north eastern part of Montana is prairie land, which equals flat land with the occasional bump and drop along the way. Not at all like Arizona, but as all God's creations it has beauty, sometimes you have to look and look, then find yourself digging, but it's there. I like this shot and I am thankful for my time in north eastern Montana. Though nothing beats an Arizona sunrise or sunset, and oh those mountains!

Chicken Pot Pie

We really enjoy this dish. The chicken, veggies, and the cream sauce are just wonderful! I usually make two pies and that's just enough with a little left over. One of us usually scoops it out before bedtime.

Color

Doesn't this look good and beautiful. I was making fajitas and snapped this shot. I really don't pay much attention to color in food, but the green from the jalepenos up against the white of the onion was great.

Apple Betty Pie

Here is a tasty dessert we enjoyed back in early September. This was my first time using Dream Whip. I actually preferred it to Cool Whip, though it did take me two packages to make enough for our family. I think it would probably be cheaper to buy Cool Whip, but I like the idea of filling up the pantry instead of the refrigerator/freezer.

With all Breath

While growing frustrated today, I was reminded of
Colossians 3:17
"And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him."
and
Colossians 3:23
"And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily (with all breath), as to the Lord, and not unto men."
Lord Jesus, help me to give thanks to you in midst of daily struggles, may I faithfully and humbly serve you with all my being. To God be the Glory!
